About Us

Psychiatric Service Dog Association Limited By Guarantee

The Psychiatric Service Dog Association (PSDA) is a non-profit organisation based in Ireland, which is completely self-funded. Funds are based on donations, sponsorships, and membership fees. Awareness of the services provided has increased since its establishment. PSDA has supported sick, injured, and cruelly treated animals in Ireland and worldwide. It has also helped hundreds of people with mental disabilities adopt or train rescue dogs to become their lifelong assistance companions.

A future where all people of any age across the world who suffer from invisible illnesses can benefit from our support, can get access to our volunteers and their dogs to help them improve their quality of life.

To promote the awareness of mental disabilities

To promote the value of interaction with dogs and the benefits of having a trained PSD

To provide effective assessment and support for Psychiatric Service Dogs (PSD) and their handlers.

To work in partnership with registered establishments to enable easy access to our PSD teams.
